Lowry Park North boundaries are Forest Hills to the north, Carrollwood to the west, Sulphur Springs to the east and Lowry Park to the south.[2][3]

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 6,114 people and 2,621 households residing in the neighborhood. The population density was 6,362/mi². The racial makeup of the neighborhood was 71% White, 13% African American, less than 1% Native American, 3% Asian, 9% from other races, and 4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 32% of the population.
There were 2,621 households out of which 30% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 36% were married couples living together, 15% had a female householder with no husband present, and 9% were non-families. 33% of all households were made up of individuals.
In the neighborhood the population was spread out with 25% under the age of 18, 28% from 18 to 34, 25% from 35 to 49, 13% from 50 to 64, and 10% who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males.
